Goodby Isaac and Hello New Project

Isaac has finally left the area.  It was such a relief to see all the water recede and to not have to be tense about whether or not it would reach my car.

Thanks to MS Power we had electricity most of the time. This allowed me to start a new project.

This is what I have been working on for the past two days.  There was a lot of cutting, which took most of my time for two nights.  Yesterday and today I started sewing the pieces together.  I have the four panels sewn together, but have not connected the four panels together. 

This is a picture of one of the panels:

I hope to sew the sets together tomorrow and put the borders on it.  This is the first "Modern" quilt that I have attempted.  The colors are some of the new Bella Solids that have just arrived in quilt stores.  I chose a pale gray for the background, just to make it a little more interesting.
