The Crumb Along over at Jo's Country Junction got started in earnest today. Jo showed us how to make the first of our blocks. The tutorial was clear and very easy to follow. Thanks Jo! I am already looking forward to the next block.
All I can say is that it is not easy being "crumb-ly". It was so hard for me to sew all of those different types of seams and not try to get the flying geese just perfect. Here are the results of my first attempt.

Hi Sandra! I love your blocks...great fabrics. I had a rough start myself, but tried not to think about it too much and the process got better! This is going to be a lot of fun!!
ReplyDeleteThey look great to me!
ReplyDeleteWoo-who!! You did great...Star for next week!!
ReplyDeleteThe red gives it a nice consistency. Cute blocks so far.
ReplyDeleteI, too, had a hard time not wanting to straighten those geese - in fact I even took one apart - LOL. I'll try to be more spontaneous next week.
ReplyDeleteYou spend so much time perfecting the piecing....but I am enjoying trying to let go! Loved your blocks, especially that wedge of a mountain tip directing the geese to the left.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I love your blocks !
ReplyDeleteGreat start...being crumbly gets easier as you crumb along! LOL
ReplyDeleteLove the use of the red plaid - super! Great start.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, wasn't it fun thou.
ReplyDeleteYour geese are great! Just the right amount of wonky and the red makes them pop.
ReplyDeleteBlocks look wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the red in your blocks! I used some red in mine too!
